My Message

About The Author – After forty years as a professional educator and administrator at the high school and university levels in music education, opera/music theatre and teacher education, concurrently staging/conducting/designing seventy-five musical theatre productions over the past fifty-two years, and active as an Instrumental and choral clinician, adjudicator, and guest conductor on the regional, state, and national levels, Dr. Burris retired in December of 2016. She resides in southern Illinois spending time with her 7 year-old Shih Tzu and is obsessed with creating and maintaining a tropical patio space throughout the summer and fall along with entertaining and writing the sequel to A Woman Called Murn.
